Mac Miller live at Terminal 5
Mac Miller brings the year to a close with his GO:OD AM (Warner Bros. Records, 2015) tour–already supported by three hit singles off of the album. The 2015 international run prominently marks Miller’s commercial success in the music industry and solidifies his stay power with audiences, both at home and abroad (all of this, only four years after his freshman album dropped). On Wednesday night, the 23-year-old rapper brought his stylings to New York City’s Terminal 5.
Miller’s show, as a whole, is genuinely captivating. Audiences seem totally immersed in the experience, from the opening acts to the DJ sets in-between, there is never a still moment (in fact, the only thing that is suspended all evening is a sense of reality as things progresses). The energy high can be credited, in part, to the bill of performers but it is largely the audience that keeps things at pace (engaging each artist in unique and supportive ways). When Miller finally sets foot on stage there is a general understanding that the atmosphere and energy can only continue to grow through a sincere love and respect cultivated by the audience. Miller vibes with the crowd and continues to excel at his game with a cool stride of confidence thanks to none other than this–his loyal army of fans.
While his North American tour comes to a close, his European one commences early in the New Year–keeping Miller busy and his U.S. fans anxious for more.
