Vh1 returned to New York City on Thursday night with their annual “You Oughta Know” concert–with a simultaneous live broadcast airing nationally from The Armory Foundation. While many could argue that a slew of the artists featured on this year’s roster are already fairly well known, the series has/continues to present an impressive array of talent (musical styles ranging from indie pop, to country folk blues, to alternative rock).

Previous years have played host to acclaimed musicians Adele, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Sia, Lorde, and Mumford & Sons. Staying consistent with showcasing talent on this scale, Vh1’s 2015 edition featured artists Hozier, Ella Henderson, George Ezra, Tori Kelly, James Bay, Nate Ruess, Rachel Platten, Elle King, Miguel and X Ambassadors with hosts Mel B, Gladys Knight, Natalie Dormer, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kat Graham, Hannibal Buress, Taryn Manning, Jay Pharoah, Salt-N-Pepa and Sydney Sierota. One of the shows mainstays, and probably the most impressive feat, after gathering such incredible talent all in one place, is its ability to bring together artists on stage for collaborations (the likes of which can not be heard or seen anywhere else). As a whole, the show is not to be missed–with comedic notes interlaced throughout the musical performances, the two hour concert brings entertainment to life in the most magnificent form.

Be sure to check out highlights from the show over on Vh1, and make sure to follow along on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest updates on emerging artists.
